Project Brief
With just one adult child remaining at home, Jeff and Judy decided to move from their large family home to a semi-detached residence. The Bondi locals asked Cape Cod Australia to transform their new semi into a luxurious low-maintenance residence that still had all the space they needed for their retirement years.
The Results
The resulting home includes everything they wanted and was built to a high standard throughout. High 3.3m ceilings were maintained on the ground floor, which opens the space and gives it an elegant atmosphere. There is plenty of storage under the stairs, and the new kitchen (with all built-in appliances) includes a generously sized island bench, where they often enjoy meals. The functionality of the kitchen is maximised by the inclusion of two internally mechanised pantries. A small front courtyard surrounded by beautiful garden beds and a sculpture feature is another favourite spot where the couple often enjoy a coffee and watch the world go by.
