Project Brief
With a view to providing growing space for their two young children, the owners of this project home in Lane Cove were after a quality first floor addition. With bedrooms too small to accommodate furniture other than a bed, and quality lacking in everything they were determined to do their home right.
The Results
A Cape Cod Liberty Series design, tweaked for efficiency, provided a first floor addition comprising living room, master bedroom with walk-in robe, another bedroom, bathroom and a balcony. Downstairs, the former family room was transformed into a dining area and two adjacent bedrooms merged to become a single, larger bedroom. The remodelled home now meets the owners expectations of a ‘quality build’ and provides much desired space for a growing family to function harmoniously.
