How and When Cape Cod Began
Our story began in the 1950’s when founder Tim Kozubsky became involved in roof restoration work. During those early years in the roofing industry he developed a keen perception of people’s wants and needs. That perception led to the first roof conversion being undertaken in 1965, followed by the formation in 1968 of Cape Cod Australia Pty Ltd.
While its early designs were based on the steep roof "Cape Cod (USA)" style, before long the company was designing and building home additions in all styles and materials. Subsequently, branches were established in Newcastle, Wollongong and Canberra and by 1975 Cape Cod was building literally hundreds of first floor home additions each year.
Now based at North Parramatta NSW, Cape Cod employs around 20 full time staff and has a subcontractor network of around 100, many of whom have been associated with the company for over 10 years. The company services the greater Sydney area, and Blue Mountains and Gosford districts.
