The Californian Bungalow was a popular style in Sydney throughout the 1920s, and they have a distinctive look with their low pitched roofs, gable, terra cotta shingles and masonry verandah piers.

A total makeover has transformed a dated and modest dwelling into a high quality, modern and spacious home suitable for a large family. Renovations included new living and sleeping areas, bathrooms, kitchen, laundry and study - all within the existing footprint. The client brief included refurbishment of the ground floor, addition of a first floor, and a new carport. The new areas were carefully designed to integrate with the existing home and, as a result, the character of the original dwelling is retained and beautifully enhanced. The new home is spacious and functional, and offers views to the City. With sympathetic finishes and quality workmanship throughout, it is truly a stunning home.
